Privacy Policy
How ZeroW handles the information you share with us.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
ZeroW respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
zerow.com.au is the home of ZeroW: online powerlifting coaching, coach education and the ZeroW gym network. It is operated by Lilley-Buddy Pty Ltd (ACN 621 669 369). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to ZeroW; "you" refers to anyone who visits this website, contacts us, or uses our coaching and education services.
Each ZeroW gym is independently operated and has its own privacy policy on its own website. This policy covers zerow.com.au only.
2. What information we collect
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
Information you give us directly
- Contact enquiries: your name, phone number, email address, the type of enquiry, and any message you choose to write.
- Offer and free-trial sign-ups: your name, email, phone number and anything you tell us about your training goals.
- Coaching and education: your training history, goals, and any injury or health information you choose to share so we can coach you safely. Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act; we collect it only with your consent and use it only to deliver your coaching.
- Workshop and event bookings: your name, email, phone number and booking details.
Information we collect automatically
- Basic technical metadata when you submit a form: your browser user-agent string and IP address. We use this to investigate spam, abuse, and technical errors.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies about how you use the site, such as pages visited and whether you arrived from one of our ads. See Section 6.
- Locally stored preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice and your cookie choice. These stay in your browser.
Payment information
If you pay online, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see, handle, or store your card details. We only receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded, along with a reference used for support and reconciliation.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries and follow up about memberships, coaching, offers, and events;
- Send you follow-up emails and SMS about an offer or program you signed up for. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe;
- Deliver the coaching, education, and events you sign up for;
- Understand how the website is used and measure whether our advertising works;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- Improve the website, fix bugs, and protect against abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with
We share your information only where necessary to run the business. Depending on the page you use, we rely on these providers:
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Resend: transactional email delivery (confirmations and notifications).
- Netlify: website hosting.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: spam protection on our forms.
- Google: Google Analytics, which tells us how the site is used.
- Microsoft Clarity: heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors move through pages, so we can fix what's confusing. Clarity masks text you type into forms.
Each provider has its own privacy practices. We choose providers we believe meet a reasonable standard of security and compliance.
We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, our members, or the safety of any person.
5. Where information is stored & how it's secured
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to our admin tools is limited to authenticated ZeroW staff via password-protected logins.
Several of our providers, including Google, Microsoft, Stripe, Resend, Netlify and Cloudflare, are based in or store data in the United States and other countries. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7).
6. Cookies, analytics & tracking
When you first visit, a banner explains that we use analytics cookies. These run unless you choose Decline. If you decline, we switch them off and remember your choice for 12 months across all zerow.com.au websites. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.
The cookies and similar technologies we use are:
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which show how the site is used. Switched off if you decline.
- Essential: a cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from spam. These are needed for the site to work and are not used for advertising.
- Embedded content: maps, videos, and booking or sign-up forms from providers such as Google, YouTube, ClubFit, GoHighLevel and Stripe may set their own cookies when they load.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook and Google accounts.
7. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Request that we correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
- Request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal or operational obligations to retain it;
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails and SMS at any time;
- Make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@zerow.com.au. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days). If you believe we have not adequately addressed your concern, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Children & under-18s
Our coaching and education services are for adults aged 18 and over, or younger people with a parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page; please check back periodically.
